A Morning’s Double Rainbow

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “ROY G. BIV.”  The picture was actually filtered on a early morning’s sunrise, which is often unusual. Most rainbows tend to take place in the evening.  When I took the picture, I only saw the brighter rainbow, then filtered it only to get a second surprise, the fainter rainbow. This was taken in LaPorte, IN on 20 October 2014.

Monochromatic Kids

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Monochromatic.”

This photo was taken with a hard hug by sister to brother. I like to play with colors sometimes and often monochromatic (black/white, grays) show more than color can.

Flooded Yard with Cold Water

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “A Plot of Earth.”

Since settling on an one acre property, it is mostly left alone, with a few garden plots (flower/veggies), a small grove of trees and we don’t add chemicals to the grass (only to nurse sick trees)

This Friday is Earth Day…Let us keep practicing balance with our earth, every day.

“Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children.”  ~Native Indian Proverb
